The "thing" about GPS

Using GPS verses a paper map has been an on going discussion since the start of the trip.  I like using GPS because Mr. "Google" can get us to places easily and usually quicker.  This approach is not without some quirky missteps leading to years of family story telling.

*Note to self... pay attention to the auto fill when typing in the address.  There is a difference between "road" and street".

A funny thing happened on the way to visit Cousin John and the University of Georgia. Below is the picture of Fuller Rd.  We pulled in and immediately thought "Deliverance" (1972 movie) and why is Cousin John out in the "back country" house sitting at the palace  "ma and pa kettle" wouldn't step foot.

OK, now that we found the right address, we felt a little better because this location was less like Deliverance and more like "Animal House".  We are still asking ourselves "Why cousin John, why?"

My mind was really starting to bend towards the movie industry with un-reality to conclude that I live in a world much like the "Addams Family" (at least today) that instead of Cousin Itt, it's Cousin John and Mom's hand will be "Thing" instead of an appendage waiting to have a name assigned (for another post).

After seeing the Animal House and Cousin John's current living style, we decided the day had been long and we were in need of some food, including some strong adult beverages.  We made a pit stop to the "Farm Burger"

The food was good, the company was excellent, and the day finally made some sense.  We travelled back from the Twilight Zone to a place of normal feeling Americana.
